Gillingham Neighbourhood Policing Team
Here's a quick look at some of the work we've been doing to keep our community safe and connected
This week the team have been busy with: Assisting our response colleagues across North Dorset. Dealt with several fallen trees that came down across the roads due to the weather, making the roads safe for users. PC Ash attended an RTC at Turnpike, thankfully no serious injuries but a reminder of driving to the conditions and carefully throughout the stormy weather. PC Ash and PC Brad also assisted with locating an elderly male with dementia, preventing him from becoming a missing person and put safeguarding in place to assist him. PC Ash and PCSO Vicky attended a multi agency meeting to help support a vulnerable resident. PCSO Vicky attend the Community Contact Point (CCP) at Waitrose on Thursday, thank you to everyone who took the time to speak to her regarding concerns they have in the community. We have been patrolling the building sites we have around the town and liaising with the developers regarding reports we have received of young people entering the sites and climbing the buildings currently being constructed. Building site and half build buildings are not playgrounds. PCSO Vicky also assisted with a medical emergency.
If you have any concerns in your area, please report them via our website or by calling 101 or in an emergency always dial 999.
We hope you have a safe and enjoyable week.
